I can say that anyone that has ever done anything creatively has encountered times like this, when simply nothing gets through you, and inspiration seems to be some mythical creature that doesn't exist. But it's in there somewhere you just gotta scratch that surface. Great video.

Here Comes The Neighborhood
Everyone NEEDS to check this out. There's nothing else I could think of they could have done to make it better. First three episodes here; head to HCTN.tv for the rest.

T
Just finished one. but amazingly it's not even for the show... I really enjoy making art with an owner in mind because I simply don't care about it. It sounds sad, but that's when I make the best paintings. I take risks, I'm fast and I do things I wouldn't normally do.

Getting ready
About to start what might be my first gallery show in February. It's nothing too big, but I am pretty exited for it. Only about two months to paint the entire show, but that's exactly what brings the best out of me. due dates and procrastination. Show in January and first gallery show in February. Great way to start 2012.

Recent
For a really long time my approach when painting has been mostly tedious and boring, but lately I've been trying to get away from that process. I found that almost perfect space where chaos becomes aesthetic. Cope with the horrible horrible pictures.
I have always Expected that the only way to grow artistically is by painting more and more, but after taking a time off of painting I realized I did not want to hone my skills. Instead what I needed was to simply grow mentally when approaching anything I do creatively. For a long time I have been pushing myself, but at the same time never leaving that comfort zone. I realized that when I don't care about the outcome and I'm simply driven by what I like I will always be satisfied. I like where I'm headed.
